Sample Itinerary for Glacier Camping By Trail Access:

Day 1:
Your adventure begins with trip orientation & outfitting at our warehouse. Once outfitted, we will transport you to the West Glacier trailhead. After a safety briefing, you and your guide will hike out with backpacks to the edge of the glacier. The hike to the glacier is about 3 miles on uneven terrain. Once you reach the glacier's edge, your guide will give you an introduction to using crampons and an ice axe. You will then head off with your guide to establish base camp. Once the camp is set, you will become acquainted with your surroundings through in-depth discussions and leisure exploration before returning to the social dome for a gourmet Alaskan dinner. Stay warm & cozy with a propane stove, camp chairs, and private sleeping tents.

Day 2: Morning starts with a warm cup of coffee or tea in your private tent, followed by breakfast in the social dome. A cross-glacier trek offers easy to difficult route options based on individual or group requests. Enjoy plenty of time for pictures, and even ice climbing! Pools, seracs, tunnels, streams, rock formations, waterfalls, moulins, and crevasses are just a few of the features encountered during the day. You will then take down basecamp and hike back with all your gear to the trailhead parking lot. Our van will pick you up and transport you back to our warehouse to unpack and celebrate!
