Coastal Kayak Fishing

Combine fishing, kayaking, and wildlife viewing for an unforgettable adventure along the northern Inside Passage! With a fishing kayak, you have access to areas and to the fish that no others can reach. It provides stealth in shallow water unmatched by even the quietest of flats boats. Test your skills using a variety of techniques such as trolling, mooching, jigging and casting to target salmon, halibut and rockfish.

Transfer to a secluded beach and don appropriate paddle gear, including rain gear to wear over your personal clothing, rubber boots and gloves. Board your own comfortable, stable kayak specially designed for fishing. Move silently across the water while using light tackle and fishing rods. Local guides teach you the basics of paddling while fishing, and take you into shallow reefs, coves and tributaries where only a kayak can maneuver. Watch for humpback whales, seals, sea lions, porpoise, orca, and other marine wildlife while you fish Alaska's beautiful wilderness.
