Tongass Coast Kayak
Get away from the crowds and on the water for spectacular views and marine wildlife! Our passenger van transports you to a paddling location north of downtown Juneau. Guides will choose a kayak launch location based on tides, weather, and the best chances of seeing wildlife for the day.

After getting outfitted in gear and given a safety briefing by your guides, we will launch you from a beach in a tandem sea kayak. We will paddle on the water for about two and a half hours looking for wildlife and enjoying the scenic wilderness around us. Keep a look out for harbor seals, sea otters, sea lions, eagles, sea birds, fish, and humpback whales. From glacier views to mountain views, our scenic paddling locations on this trip are endless.
Rain or shine, this is quite simply the finest guided half-day sea kayak trip you will find in Juneau. You need only bring your camera and an appetite for adventure because we outfit you with all equipment and gear, and offer you a light snack. Join us locals for a true Alaska experience!

Cost: $119 per person plus 5% local sales tax
Trip Duration: Approximately 5.5 hours roundtrip
Trip Activities: Sea kayaking, wildlife viewing
Trip Rating: Easy to Moderate - No Experience Necessary (minimum age requirement is 8 unless booking a private trip with us).
Sample Itinerary:
1 hour - Van pick up and transport to private beach
1/2 hour - Gear orientation & safety briefing
2 1/2 hour - Guided sea kayaking in protected waters near humpback feeding grounds
1 hour - Pick up by van and transport back to town
We Provide: Fully certified guide, all necessary equipment & gear, double sea kayaks, light snack/bottled water (although we prefer you bring your own reusable water bottle on the trip), roundtrip van transportation from downtown Juneau.
You Bring: Comfortable clothing and shoes, camera, sunglasses, sunscreen, and rain jackets and pants.
